Water is my most important requirement. I already carry a small bag of emergency gear in the car and usually keep a case of water on standby in the garage, just in case.

In the event of an evacuation I would bring my emergency to go kit, which includes supplies for up to 72 hours. This includes my medication and a small supply of my dogs food :)

I would fill up enough drinking water for three days and have some food that doesn’t require cooking since we may be out of electricity and gas. Also a waterproof coat to keep warm and dry

The two most important things are my Dad and my dog, so I’d grab them. As long as Dad and the dog are safe I have everything. Wallet, medications and file folder of important things are always ready to go.

I have archival family letters and photographs that are irreplaceable and very important to me. So I would probably try to bring them with me. But not before ensuring that my closest friend, Faye, a cat, was leaving home by my side.
