Overview

We are modernizing some of our long-range guiding documents that shape how people travel, play, and design our spaces. These plans and bylaws are inter-related, so we are refreshing them all in parallel, and we want to hear from you!

Context

  • We are updating our Integrated Transportation Plan to reflect current growth, policy, and mobility needs since it was last revised in 2018. The plan will also combine transportation, pathways, transit, and parking policy into a single guiding document.

  • We are integrating and updating the Open Spaces Design Guidelines and Open Spaces and Trails Plan into a single, comprehensive planning document that will provide clear, consistent direction for the future of our parks, open spaces, and trails.

  • We are rewriting our existing Land Use Bylaw, which guides how land is used and the rules around development to make it more efficient, clear and supports future development in a way that aligns with our community priorities and character.
